Reduces the need for supports and prints faster with less material. Thanks to the 360° cooling, the MK4S allows you to print overhangs of up to 75° without supports, significantly reducing costs and print time. This also simplifies printing flexible materials like TPU, where removing supports is often a challenge.
With the MK4S, you will get durable prints. Its new cooling fan and high-flow nozzle provide excellent layer adhesion, making all your prints strong and durable. It comes with a wide range of printing profiles that allow you to prioritize higher speed or maximum robustness.
Your models will be smooth and pleasant to the eye, as the MK4S printing profiles prioritize perfect surface finishes. You can adjust the layer height of the print to match the level of detail you desire and print from super intricate models (with the 0.25 mm nozzle) to larger objects, where details matter less.

You can control your printer(s) remotely. The MK4S includes an ethernet port and Wi-Fi with NFC setup, allowing you to manage it from anywhere using the secure Prusa Connect system or the mobile app. For maximum security, the printer can also operate completely offline.

We do not collect information about your prints or the environment of your printer. We believe that, regardless of whether you are developing a new generation of space shuttles or simply printing nonsense for your friends, no organization should be interested in this information. That is why our printers are found in the best companies, universities, and research institutions around the world.
Our printers are primarily designed for completely offline operation without inconveniences or limitations. You have the option to share data with our technical support and connect your printer to the remote print management system Prusa Connect, but only if you choose to do so. Our code is open source, so you can always check that we are not deceiving you or stealing your files, even when connected to the Internet.
The MK4S is compatible with two new optional add-ons for enthusiasts and modders. First of all, the GPIO 'hackerboard' allows you to control external electronics via G-code commands. Each Original Prusa 3D printer receives long-term support for years after its release. It's not just about small bug fixes, but significant firmware and hardware updates that bring new and useful features. And the MK4 is no exception.
Compared to the Original Prusa MK4, the MK4S brings the following innovations:
Our machines are built to last. We have a massive printing farm with over 700 printers running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This means we design our machines to withstand uninterrupted operation with minimal downtime. The open design of the "bed-slinger" is the result of a 10-year evolution and allows easier access to all parts without a lengthy disassembly process. There are no welded or glued parts, everything can be disassembled with an Allen key set.
The MK4S has been designed for native offline use, so if you do not wish to use network services, you do not have to. The printer can be fully configured without Internet access and there are no drawbacks or limitationsThe Wi-Fi module can be easily disconnected for environments that require the highest level of security.
The MK4S is based on the internally developed integrated 32-bit platform and features our next-generation extruder, the Nextruder.

With completely new plastic parts, reinforced metal parts, and firmware built from scratch, the MMU3 offers impressive multimaterial prints faster and more efficiently than its competitors. With 25-35 seconds per filament change and optimized nozzle cleaning, prints are wonderfully fast and reliable, and you don't have to worry about cleaning up piles of wasted filament scraps around your printer all the time.
The MMU3 is up to three times more efficient in managing filament waste compared to other single nozzle multimaterial systems, resulting in substantial cost savings.
The high flow nozzle of the MK4S allows for much faster printing. However, when using the MMU3, the standard nozzle makes much more sense. Why? While the MMU3 works well with a high flow nozzle, the increase in volumetric flow results in greater filament waste during printing. In other words, the MMU3 offers the best performance, the same speed, and the highest efficiency (less waste) when combined with the nozzle standard on both MK4 and MK4S.
Therefore, if you request an independent MMU3 for the MK4S, you will receive it along with the standard nozzle. In the MK4S/MMU3 pack, you will receive both nozzles - the standard and the high flow. For the MK4S assembled in a package with the MMU3, the standard nozzle will be pre-installed in the printer by default.
If you want to print more advanced technical materials on your MK4, you will find the Enclosure. It stabilizes the printer's environment, eliminates drafts and odors, and makes the printer even quieter.
Not all types of filament require an enclosure. Most common materials, such as PLA, PETG, and even some advanced ones (like PCCF) do not require an enclosure. However, once you need to print with more advanced materials, such as ASA, ABS, PC, and similar, the enclosure is the best option to achieve higher temperatures in a stabilized environment; moreover, the optional high-performance filtration system will take care of ultra-fine particles.
The Original Prusa Enclosure is available with a wide range of useful accessories, such as the Advanced filtration system with HEPA filter, a LED strip, a Mechanical Lock or a Fire Extinguishing System.
